Once we have learnt a few different types of chords, it is normally a good idea to practice them in a musical way. And one of the easiest ways to do this is to start learning some popularchord progressions or learn songs. Both approaches will help you to master the art of playing chords, whilst helping you to learn about the basic foundations of music.
Step 5 - Learn how to bring your chords to life
Once we know how to play a few different chords and we know the basics about how to combine these to create music, we can start to add color & flavor into our music with things like piano runs, chord fills & arpeggios. We can also start learning about the importance of voice leading and we may also like to explore some more advanced chord voicings. At this point, we can also start learning how to playadvanced chord progressions, to help us produce very sophisticated sounds.
